ADCOM is seeking experienced Police/Fire dispatchers to join our team as Emergency Communication Specialist III and offering a $5,000 hiring bonus!
This lateral position is ideal for professionals with two or more years of emergency dispatch experience who are ready to bring their skills to a fast‑paced, mission‑driven 24/7 communications center.
On any given shift, you will:
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls
- Enter and manage incidents in CAD for Police, Fire, EMS, and partner agencies
- Monitor and respond to multiple radio channels
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions (EMD)
- Perform CCIC/NCIC entries, inquiries, and confirmations
- Support responder safety with accurate, timely information
- Deliver excellent customer service to the public and first responders
The role is a strong fit it you have:
- Minimum 2 years police/fire/EMS dispatch experience, required.
- Strong multitasking, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
- Proficiency with computers, CAD, and radio systems
- Knowledge of CCIC/NCIC procedures
- High School Diploma or GED
Our center is open 24/7/365. That means:
- You will be assigned to a day, a swing, or a night shift
- Weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule
- One weekend day per week is required
- Shifts are assigned through a seniority-based bidding process
Hiring Bonus Structure:
Lateral Dispatch position hired will receive a hiring bonus of $5,000.00. The hiring bonus will be paid as follows:
- $1,250 upon successful completion of the academy, passing the first channel test and working proficiently in the role.
- $1,250 upon completing the six-month performance evaluation and meeting expectations.
- $2,500 upon meeting expectations in annual evaluation of full-time employment with ADCOM.
